FULL BODY FITNESS - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Every one of our Members has a story and reason why they love being part of our Community, however if you are tired of motivating yourself and feeling like you’re alone, bored of the gym, looking for a supportive network of other motivated individuals or just want some other fun people to train with in order to achieve your best results, then it may be time to check out the Full Body Fitness Community.
Each of our Group Fitness / Bootcamp sessions are 45 minutes in length and include an important warm up and cool down period to prevent injury and reduce muscle soreness.
We hold Group Fitness & Bootcamp sessions for 12 year old Members and above. There is nobody too old to participate in our Group Fitness and Bootcamp sessions and we welcome both male and female participants. For children aged 7-12 years old, we recommend joining our ‘Fit Kids’ Bootcamps where they will be able to participate with children of a similar age and be trained with a focus on educating them in proper form and exercise techniques while having fun.
Regardless of whether you’ve never exercised a day in your life, or are a seasoned pro athlete, we take the time to focus on each individuals specific fitness level and have them training in each session that brings out the best in them. We always guarantee one thing… your fitness level will be challenged in a positive way.
Ask any of our Members and they will all tell you 2 things...
1/ They’re kept accountable by a professional trainer for coming to sessions (which is the #1 reason why the majority of Gym Members don’t use their memberships) and love that they’re kept on track, and
2/ They belong to a supportive Community with the same focus regarding their health and fitness journey.
Firstly, we like to focus on a ‘Full Body’ exercise program which means that ever training session is different! Changing the exercise programs means that you body does not have the chance to plateau or build irregular muscle strength due to overuse and underuse of certain muscle groups, and of course makes workouts FUN! We also focus on different functional training session types such as HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) / Strength / Tabata / Core / Upper Body / Lower Body / Boxing / Circuit giving you the workout mix your body needs.
As the name suggests, Group Fitness is completed in a group setting and Personal Training sessions are completed 1 on 1, 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 with a personal trainer.
There are benefits to each with Personal Training having a complete 100% focus on just you, your form and tailored around your specific fitness goals / needs, where Group Fitness incorporates a Community feel and energy about it. Whether it’s Group Fitness, Personal Training or a mix of both to target your specific fitness goals, we are here to support you in your health and fitness journey with the guidance and help you need. If you’re unsure what you feel will be best for you then we recommend getting in touch with us to discuss your needs so we can help you find the right fit for you.
Since everyone situation is different we recommend chatting with you individually about your own specific situation and personal goals. This gives us the opportunity to assess your current fitness level however a general rule of 3 - 5 sessions per week is appropriate for most individuals.
We are committed to everyones health and safety and have all new members complete a standard health check form which gives us the opportunity to understand any specific needs and current / past injuries that you may have. Being skilled professionals we are fully trained in injury prevention and rehabilitation providing alternative exercises where necessary however in some cases the authorisation from a medical practitioner may be required before participation can commence.
We love to support mothers in their fitness journey and welcome babies and children to most of our sessions. Holding a number of our sessions next to a park means there is plenty of room for your children to play while you are exercising. Due to the safety of your children we do however recommend discussing this with us at Full Body Fitness first to ensure there is no risk of injury (due to equipment used etc) and the locations suitability.
We have alternative locations to use in the event of bad weather so you can stay dry! We keep all of our Community Members informed through our Full Body Fitness Community Facebook Group where you can book in for sessions ahead of time, and be informed of any changes in the event there is the need to move a training session to another location etc.
We don’t have any ‘lock in’ contracts and all Members are free to cancel their Membership at anytime. For administration purposes a 2 week notice is required for the cancellation of future automated payments. For more information regarding cancellations please visit the 'TERMS' page.
We recommend bringing a water bottle to keep you well hydrated, a towel and also an exercise mat (if you have one). If you don’t own a mat then please let us know so we can ensure we have one available for you to use during the session. Alternatively, you can purchase an exercise mat from any major department or fitness store for just a few dollars and makes for a great investment for your fitness journey. All other exercise equipment is supplied by Full Body Fitness and ready for you to use at the session location. Additionally, we recommend arriving 5 minutes early in order to be well prepared and ready to make the most of the session.
