Where does fat go?? It can’t just disappear… or can it?

Fat is one of those things that we don't like to think about, but all know we need to manage in order to maintain a healthy status.
 
Although it would be nice, fat doesn’t just disappear and it does’t turn into energy, contrary to what some may think. So where does it go?
 

Lately I've been chatting with my bootcamp ladies and shedding some light on how fat leaves our body. Many specialists and trainers in the past have thought that fat gets turned into energy and then released as heat, but recent studies have confirmed that we actually EXHALE the fat that we’ve burned as carbon dioxide. How cool, right?!
 

Now unfortunately this doesn’t mean that hyperventilating will help you shed those few extra kilos though! Lol. (Tried it…it didn’t work!) 😂  Just kidding! ...Or am I??
 

Also a smaller percentage of fat leaves our body as water through sweat, urine and tears. So next time you’re sweating it out at a training session and puffing like crazy, celebrate the fact that your amazing body is dispensing that “burned fat” that you have worked so hard to lose.🎉🎉
 

Here’s to many more fat burning, sweaty and heavy breathing sessions to come! 😅😅
